British company Trident has presented the coupé version of its Iceni sportscar, the world’s fastest diesel-powered sportscar in production with a top speed of over 190 mph.

First unveiled at the 2012 Salon Privé in London in roadster version, the Trident Iceni has a top speed of over 190mph (306 km/h) and can run for 2,000 miles on a single tank of mineral or bio-diesel.

To achieve this result, the Iceni uses torque multiplication technology: a patented system allows to improve performance and efficiency by up to 20%.

In addition to the open version, the company has now announced two new models: the Iceni Magna (fastback) and the Iceni Venturer (estate), all sharing the same powertrain and specs.

The Trident sports cars, designed by Phil Bevan, also co-founder of Trident, have a distinctive look, with curved surfaces, and several elements evoking the sportscars of the past.

Among these are the double bubble roof, the split rear screen and the pipe exhausts located on the sides.

Each Iceni can be built to specific customer specifications, ensuring a truly unique driving experience. The three Iceni sports cars are available to buy globally with prices starting from £96,000.
