At the last Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Morgan has unveiled the EvaGT, a four seater coupé targeted to young families and with a focus on innovative materials and technologies and eco-friendly features.
While the British automaker has not revealed new details since the first preview in June, it has released an extensive set of photos and design sketches.
The Morgan EvaGT is built on a bonded aluminium chassis based on that of the Aero SuperSports.
The structure is compliant with European and US safety approvals.
The design features a dramatic styling, underlined by minimal shut lines, hidden wipers, flush door handles and sharp creases.
The surfaces are achieved using superformed aluminum technology. The panels feature a laminated internal safety structure.
The EvaGT will be powered by a BMW 3.0 liter V6 unit, mated to a six speed manual gearbox. Thanks to its wight of just 1,250 kg, it will reach a top speed of 273 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.5 seconds.
The EvaGT will be produced in a limited series of 100 units. Morgan is currently accepting £5,000 deposits for pre-orders.
