Ferrari P4/5 Competizione preview

Collector Jim Glickenhaus and Pininfarina are developing a racing version of the Ferrari P4/5 one-off. The new car will be based on the Ferrari F430 and will debut at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in 2011.

Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5Commissioned to Pininfarina in 2006 by collector Jim Glickenhaus, the Ferrari P4/5 was an exclusive one-off derived from the Ferrari Enzo.

Now its owner has decided to create a racing variant: the P4/5 Competizione will be based on the chassis of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, and will feature the drivetrain of the F430 GT2 and carbon fiber body panels.

Compared to the original P4/5, the look is characterized by aerodynamic enhancements, including a front splitter and a rear wing.

The livery shown in the preview rendering is inspired from the Ferrari racing cars of the past.
