BMW has presented the second generation of its X3 Sports Activity Vehicle model. Featuring larger dimensions and a more dynamic design inspired by the X1, it will debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

New BMW X3The design of the new X3 adopts the styling cues recently introduced by BMW with its new models, including the X1.

Compared to the previous model it is characterized by a more dynamic profile with a sloped character line, while the trademark profile of the third window has been maintained.

At the front, the kidney grille and triangular headlight are combined with circular fog headlights positioned just below the main lighting units.

The rear end is defined by horizontal lines and compared to the first generation model has smoother surfaces and is more integrated with the rear quarter panels.

New BMW X3 New BMW X3The roof rails are now integrated in the body, which contributes to the overall look of the X3, much closer to a regular passenger car rather than a 4×4 off-road.
