First announced back in February, SuperCarDesign 2010 is the first edition of a conference that will take place in the suggestive art city of Bobbio (near Piacenza, Northern Italy) on next 3 May 2010.
The conference will deal with the creative, functional and technological aspects of the supercars, from the past, present and future, with a particular atention to the designers’ perspective.
The event is organized by the Centro Studi “Carrozzeria e Design” ("Body and Design" Research Center) from Assomotoracing, in partnership with Turin Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design (IAAD).
Below we report the updated list of speakers and presentations.
Marco Bonetto
Marco Bonetto is President of Bonetto Design, which was founded by Marco Bonetto’s father Rodolfo Bonetto in 1958 and in 50 years of activity has developed more than 900 industrial design projects.
Bonetto has worked for many automotive brands, including Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Audi, Volkswage and McLaren.
Micheal Robinson
Micheal Robinson is the new Design Director at Stile Bertone. He will talk about the development of the Pandion Concept, presented at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, and about the concept’s formal language.
Pagani Zonda
Leonardo Pagani, son of Horacio Pagani, and Hannes Zanon, Automobili Pagani Strategic Communication Manager, will present the "essence of the Zonda dream", the story of the supercar wanted by Horacio Pagani and Juan Manuel Fangio.
Design dell’Automobile
Luigi Santibacci, Davide Panarella e Patrick Sincich will present the activities of "Design dell’ Automobile", an association of independent transportation designers which has two main goals: to pay homage to the automobile history and to design cars according to the changes in the mobility scenario.
Among the studio’s creations is the Grifo IR10, a hybrid sportscar inspired by the historic brand ISO Automobili, owned by the Rivolta family.
