SAIC Leaf Concept

At the next 2010 Beijing Auto show SAIC will unveil the Leaf Concept, an original show car characterized by a leaf-shaped roof which allows the vehicle to have oxygen emissions instead of CO2 and integrates a solar panel.


The SAIC Leaf Concept, set to debut at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show, takes its name from the original roof, shaped like a leaf and capable of emitting O2 instead of C02.

SAIC Leaf Concept SAIC Leaf ConceptThe roof also integrates a solar panel that produces and stores electric power, and is capable of adjusting its orientation in order to gain the best sun light coverage.

SAIC Leaf ConceptSAIC Leaf ConceptAn additional source of clean energy is provided by the wheels, which function as eolic generators. The leaf-inspired roof of the Leaf Concept shows some similarities with the Nissan Nuvu Concept.
