At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show Koenigsegg has presented the Agera, a supercar that celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Swedish company. It is an evolution of the CCX with a 4.7 V8 engine with 910 hp and a hybrid carbon fiber/aluminum structure.

Koenigsegg AgeraThe Agera, presented by Swedish Koenigsegg at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, is the latest evolution of the company’s supercar model series, started with the Koenigsegg CC 15 years ago.

The focus when developing the Agera was to maximize, driving experience, cornering speed, braking and adaptability, says Christian von Koenigsegg.

The design shares the main dimensions and the overall concept with the CCX model.

New styling elements are the tail-lights which replace the circular units of the CCX/CCXR, the use of LED units, the front and rear spoilers and a modern high-tech interior.

Like its predecessor, the Agera was developed with a focus on maximizing driving experience, cornering speed, braking and adaptability.

Among the technical highlights are the carbon fiber/aluminium hybrid structure – which helps in reducing the total weight to just 1,290 kg – , a faster traction control system, an adjustable ABS system, 392×36 and 380×34 ventilated and drilled ceramic discs.

The all-new interior features an innovative lighting system called Ghost light.

The illumination shines through the billet aluminium buttons and surfaces by way of invisible nanotubes, creating excellent
