Peugeot B1K Bike Concept

The B1K is a concept bike created by the design team at Peugeot Bicycles. Among the distinctive features of the radical design are the carbon fiber construction, chainless drivetrain and the absence of a conventional frame structure and rear hub.


Peugeot has unveiled a set of official images that show a design study of a futuristic racing bicycle, called ‘B1K’. The bike has many distinctive features, from the carbon-fiber construction to the unconventional frame design, where the front and rear section are kept together by means of the upper arc-shaped component and a tension rod that runs from the steering column to the seat.

Other hinghlights include the chainless drive that visually leaves an empty space in the rear wheel, which
puts into evidence the transparent aerodynamic shape of the rear light.

With regards to the tire technology, the pictures show an undefined material wrapped around the wheels, but at the moment there are not official details.
