From the Official Press Release:

Vehicle Design Expo 2010Trebor Media, publishers of The Vehicle Designers Review have announced that their trade only event for vehicle design professionals – Vehicle Design Expo will now take place in Geneva, Switzerland on March 4th and 5th 2010. It is being held at the CICG.

Vehicle Design Expo consists of a two day exhibition and conference focussing on the complete range of technologies, services and components required by OEM design teams during the interior/exterior design process.

The exhibitors at the event will be companies that supply design studio technologies, companies that offer independent design and prototyping services and tier1 component and material manufacturers that can provide interior/exterior design solutions.

Jaguar Design StudioThe visitors to the event will be OEM design teams and studio managers responsible for all aspects of interior and exterior design.

Geneva was chosen to make it as easy and cost effective as possible for the OEM automotive design teams to visit as the event takes place immediately after the trade and press days at the nearby Geneva Motor Show.

Trebor Media are conscious of the fact that many OEM design teams may have travel budget restrictions on attending non essential or pre-planned events.

Clay ModelIt therefore made sense to hold Vehicle Design Expo in Geneva – most if not all OEMs exhibiting at the motor show will plan to have members of their design team in Geneva that week for the press days.

For automotive OEMs, combining their attendance at the motor show with meeting their current and potential design partners at Vehicle Design Expo during the same week can save time and money.

The venue for Vehicle Design Expo is the CICG which is a 10 minute drive from the airport and downtown hotels.

The range of technologies on display at Vehicle Design Expo are of course equally as relevant to non automotive design teams. The show will therefore be marketed to OEM design teams working on commercial, industrial and recreational vehicles, designers working in other sectors such as marine design will also find the exhibitors of interest.

CICGFor exhibitors there are a range of stand sizes available and significant savings can be made if companies book space at the early-bird rate which is in place until October 2009.

As far as the conference is concerned a preliminary conference programme will be online towards the end of the year – it is anticipated that all speakers at the conference will be OEM designers.

Vehicle Design Expo is a trade only event and not open to the public. Entry to the exhibition will be free of charge for vehicle design professionals, the delegate fees to attend the conference will probably €100 – €150 per day.

Vehicle Design Expo takes place on 4th and 5th March 2010 and full information can be found at www.vehicledesign-expo.com.
