Motorcity Europe is launching a series of 2 and 5 day design seminars.
Open to students, professionals, working designers and even non-designers, the goal of these seminars is to improve designer’s skills, job potential, plus broaden the general knowledge base of creativity and automotive design.
2 seminars will be available: A Two Day Intensive Weekend Seminar and a Five Day Extended Project Workshop.
The Five Day Seminar will provide participants the opportunity to develop a portfolio project supervised by professional designers.
Both the seminars are available in two levels: intermediate and advanced.
The intermediate level is targeted to people working or willing to work in the automotive industry, who want to know more about the design process. It is open to students, professionals, engineers, industrial designers and to any creative or technical professionals.
The advanced level seminar is for anyone with a degree in Automotive or Industrial Design, or high level design students. It will focus on improving the portfolio and on the today automotive industry requirements for professional designers.
The Seminars will be held in Cologne, Germany, at the MCE-Design studio, and will be supervised by professional guest designers from Pininfarina, Ford, Citroen, Jaguar, Kia and Renault, who will coach participants on a “one to one” level.
Each seminar is open to a maximum number of 30 participants. The costs for the Two Day and Five Day Seminars are respectively 450 Euros and 900 Euros.
MCE Director David Hilton explains: “We want to get Designers together in one studio setting to not only learn from each other, but also to trade contacts and concepts. The objective is to improve each individual in an interactive environment, while opening new doors and ideas”.
“During these tough times in our business, it is critical that all Designers, with or without a job, keep their skills fresh, advanced and improved. Now is the time to raise portfolio standards and learn new tricks.”
