BMW Z8 – Aluminum spaceframe According to Car4, BMW’s new chairman, Norbert Reithofer, is going to bring a new extreme open sportscar to production.
The new model could be named Z6 and should compete against the Mercedes SL.
It could be based on an aluminium spaceframe structure (like the 1998 BMW Z8).
The design could be inspired by the California Spyder Concept, created by BMW Designworks USA for the 2005 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Under the hood there could be the V10 engine that equips both the M5 and M6 models.
