For the Czech Manufacturer 2005 was a record-year both for the 100th anniversary and for sales, with 492,111 units sold (+10% comparing with 2004).
Now it is present with some significant cars at the “Czech 100 Design Icons” at the Triennale di Milano (Italy).
1936 Skoda Popular Coupé Montecarlo
The exhibition will display a selection of 100 products – furniture accessories, toys, cars – that represent milestones in the Czech lifestyle of the latest 100 years, thus becoming “design icons”.
Skoda displays the 1936 Popular Coupé Montecarlo, with its futuristic aerodynicamics, the 1959 Felicia, one of the nest selling models thanks to its elegance, and the 1970 110R, one of Czech people’s most dreamed Sportcars with a successful racing past.

The rich 280-pages catalog is published in English, Czech and German and deals with the different eras in the Czech Design history, with riflessions about architecture, fashion, cinema, social and political events. The final section includes a collection of typical Czech recipes.
