Some of the original research renders included a circular air opening integrating a fan for cooling the battery.
The side view is characterized by the absence of sharp feature lines and the arched, almost symmetrical silhouette.
The top view underlines the sensual, curvous surface and reveals the cockpit cutline, with a shape reminding a NACA air duct.
The front and rear views adopt modern styling cues such as full-width LED light fascias and retractable rear wings that are perfectly integrated in the body surfaces.
The body si visually divided in two halves, a top “shell” and the bottom section comprising the front spoiler, the side skirts and the rear diffuser. The division in underlined by the strong contrast between the silver paint and the dark carbon fiber.
The distinctive cuts on the front and rear wheel arches are almost invisible from the front view.
The design of the rear end is extremely clean and puts into evidence the large rear tires.
The large multi-spoke wheels feature non-rotating hub caps. They mount slick 255/25 R 24 tires at the front and 305/25 R 26 tires at the rear. The copper-colored thin spokes remind of the electric motors driving the car.
The leather seat and the tread of the slick tires adopt the same geometric pattern that uses the Mercedes-Benz star emblem.
The futuristic cockpit features a steering wheel with a organic surface treatment combined with a touch screen and a panoramic display.
The official debut of the concept at Pebble Beach.
