Cure Collection: car art t-shirts that fund breast cancer research

Art Center design student has started an apparel company and an Indiegogo campaign for launching automotive art-themed t-shirts and funding breast cancer research.

“Cars For A Cure Apparel” was founded by Mason Watson, a design student at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

The mission is to donate 20% of funds to breast cancer research, while selling t-shirt collections based on different automotive themes and graphic styles.

Speaking about the Indiegogo campaign he explains: “I started this brand after my amazing mother passed away from breast cancer in 2008. I knew I had to do something to honor her and women all around the world battling this terrible disease.”

“Started in 2013 as Cars For A Cure Apparel, I wanted to reimagine what the brand could be from 2016 onwards.”

“I have partnered with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation to assure donations and to promote breast cancer awareness. For the three-year anniversary I am re-launching the brand as Cure Collection.”

Each proposed design belongs to a specific ‘Collection’. Each Collection consists of 4 shirts with a related theme and graphic style.

“I plan on doing sweaters, hats, and other accessories to further expand Cure Collection’s product line. Stay tuned and feel free to offer suggestions on what cars you would like to see next!”

In addition to t-shirts, backers can also purchase stickers and poster with the same graphic themes.
