The once-called Styling Auditorium – better known as Design Dome due to its shiny aluminum clad dome – was designed in 1948 by architects Eliel and Eero Saarinen, and saw the official approval of virtually every single model since 1956.
The updates include new LED lights and state-of-the-art audio and video system.
Additionally, a number of old, dying trees in the outdoor spaces were also replaced by new ones and used by GM designers to create special artworks – including a model of a wooden speedboat and a guitar inspired by the look of the Corvette Stingray.
