Milan Design Week: Ford reveals GT-inspired design objects

At the Milan Design Week Ford has presented a set of objects – including a guitar, a sailing boat, a speaker and a table football – created by the company’s global design studios and inspired by design principles of the GT interior.

The collection of pieces is on display at the Milan Design Week until 19 April 2015 and is complemented by “FAVILLA, To Every Light a Voice,” an immersive installation also inspired by the all-new Ford GT.

As stated by the company, the guiding principles behind the Ford GT interior design include: clarity of intent (highlighting focused areas of functionality); innovation – and connection (with the driver through more compact and more intuitive technology).

Alongside the sail boat, guitar and football table, Ford displayed more traditional items of furniture. These included a floating lamp, a wi-fi speaker and two interpretations for lounge areas. Each different object applies similar design solutions to form a consistent portfolio.
