The name Bentayga takes inspiration from the rugged peak of the Roque Bentayga, located in the subtropical Canary Islands.
In 2012 Bentley presented the EXP 9 F Concept SUV, which raised a controversial reaction, and confirmed a production SUV model in summer 2013.
It will be interesting to see the design direction of the production vehicle, which according to the company’s first statements will be true to the brand’s design DNA.
The Bentayga is expected to make its debut within 2015, while production will start in 2016. The SUV will be offered with a range of engines – including a plug-in hybrid option for 2017.
