SsangYong previews Tivoli B-Segment crossover

SsangYong has revealed the first design sketches of its upcoming B-segment crossover, named Tivoli, which will go on sale in 2015.

The SsangYong Tivoli – project codename X100 – has been under development for the past three years as a global, modern compact SUV. The main lines have been introduced at this year’s Paris Show with the  XIV-AIR and XIV-Adventure Concepts.

The car takes its name from Tivoli, an Italian town near Rome, internationally known for the cultural heritage, the large Roman archaeological complex of Hadrian’s Villa and the beautiful Villa d’Este gardens, which have inspired many others to use the name, including the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.

The new model aims at complementing SsangYong’s identity as a specialist SUV brand. The Tivoli will be launched in Korea in January 2015, with a global debut expected for mid-2015.
