At the State Fair of Texas Chevrolet has revealed the Colorado Sport Concept, a special edition featuring a package of lifestyle-oriented and personalization accessories.

The most distinctive feature is the GearOnTM System, that allows customers to stow larger items such as bikes and kayaks above the bed, leaving room for smaller gear, such as coolers and tents, inside the bed.

The vehicle is based on the 2015 Colorado midsize pickup, which is available in extended- or crew-cab models, with a choice of a 2.5L four-cylinder or 3.6L V-6 engine.

Additional accessories – all available to customers – include:

  • Assist steps
  • Cargo rings
  • Splash guards
  • Tiered storage
  • Bike rack
  • Cargo divider
  • Wheel lip moldings.

The distinctive wheels are being evaluated for future production.

The Chevrolet Colorado Sport concept will be also on display at the SEMA Show in early November.
