Designed in Green Contest – Mega City Regions Individual Mobility

At the recent Milan Design Week Milan-based Studio Comelli has launched a design competition asking participants to create a sustainable vehilce for mega cities for the year 2025. The deadline is September 15, 2014.


The contest is organized by Studio Comelli in partnership with ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale), and is open to design students and designers under 30 years.

Designed in Green Contest 2014 PosterThe brief asks to create a futuristic vehicle for the year 2025, conceived fot transporting passengers and freight within Mega Cities Regions.

The contest goal is to promote the sustainable car culture covering all the involved aspects, from ethical to estetical and technical.

The deadline for submission is 15 September 2014.

The entries will be evaluated by a jury composed by professional transportation designers and journalists, including Thierry Boch, Luciano Bove, Marco Capellini, Leonardo Fagone, Matteo Fioravanti, Cesar Mendoza and Italo Moriggi.

The ten best projects will be on display during the Designed in Green event, taking place on 13-14 November 2014 at the Turin Centro Congressi Lingotto during the international fair Smart Mobility World, which is attended by 3,000 visitors and professionals in the transportation industry.

The jury will also select three winning projects that will be built in 1.20 scale model, and one overall winner that will be built in 1:4 scale by prototyping company Skorpion Engineering, and will be on display during the event.

The three winners will also receive a Wacom Intuos Pro graphic tablet.
