James Glickenhaus teases new SCG 003 one-off

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has announced the third one-off conceived by James Glickenhaus after the Pininfarina-designed Ferrari P4/5 and P4/5 Competizione.

In 2006 former filmmaker and collector James Glickenhaus commissioned Pininfarina to build a custom sportscar based on the Ferrari Enzo. This led to the creation of the P4/5, an exclusive one-off approved by Ferrari.

Four few years later Glickenhaus and Pininfarina developed a racing version called P4/5 Competizione, based on the 430 Scuderia, and the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus racing team was launched.

Now the team has announced the upcoming SCG 003, a new sportscar one-off. According to the details released on the official website, the new car will mark a “return to the origins”, and will be simpler, lighter and smaller.

The SG003 will feature three wings integrated into its form – inspired by the wing of the Porsche 959.

The development will involve Paolo Garella who was in charge of Pininfarina Special Projects in 2006. As with the P4/5 Competizione, the new 003 will be designed, engineered and built by Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.
