The vehicles are propelled “using bacteria and an electrochemical reaction between saltwater and freshwater to produce hydrogen fuel.”
The fish-inspired submarines, created with the MINI brand in mind, also integrate small robots hidden in the sidepods and capable of cleaning the exterior surfaces from the algae.
