Set to debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show on 20th November 2013, the Honda FCEV Concept has been previewed by a first sketch that showcase some of the possible styling features to be adopted by the company next-generation fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV), launching in the U.S and Japan in 2015 and later in Europe.
The front end features the trademark uninterrupted horizontal fascia defined by sharp contours, that in this case is visually framed by a pair of blade-shaped air openings on the front fenders.
The side view has the typical stretched, arched roofline, matched by a gently curved character line that gives form to the streamlined covers of the rear wheels.

The FCEV Concept is another step in the company’s development of fuel cell electric models. In 2002 Honda began a retail initiative with the leasing of its fuel-cell electric vehicles to fleet customers and in 2005 started a hands-on test of the FCX Clarity fuel-cell electric vehicle with around two dozen customers driving the car in their daily use.
