Being a toy car designer is quite different from working as an automotive designer in a car company or an OEM supplier.
While these cars will never turn to actual production, working on these iconic die-cast models pushes the designers’ creativity to the limits and allows them to create many different vehicles in a short amount of time.
Cool Hunting has recently published a video featuring an interview with Felix Holst, Hot Wheels Vice President of Design, as well as footage of the toy company’s design studio.
Below we also report a videos posted in 2009 showing a visit to the Hot Wheels Design Center, as well as two additional videos featuring Larry Wood, ‘the’ Hot Wheel designer for 40 years. Enjoy!
