Organized by Czech magazine AutoDesign&Styling, “AutoDesign Prague 2013: Design in the Heart of Europe!” is an international conference on automotive design.
This third edition will untraditionally take place in the exclusive areas of the newly reconstructed Škoda Auto Museum in Mladá Boleslav.
Among the participants are Škoda’s chief designer – Jozef Kabaň, as well as a number of other representatives of design brands such as Pininfarina, Opel, Jaguar, Land Rover, and others.
The subtitle ‘Design in the Heart of Europe’ foreshadows that this year will be partly orientated on design connected with the region of Central Europe. In addition to the home carmaker, for example, Slovakian designer Braňo Maukš, who has for more than six years worked at the famous Italian studio Pininfarina, will be presenting his work.
Strictly Czech production will be represented by BT design – Czech’s largest external studio cooperating with a number of world car brands.
A more technical presentation mapping the trends and possibilities of automobile lighting will be given by a representative of Varroc lighting systems, which has a global development centre in the Czech Republic and prepares lights for Bentley, Ford, Mercedes and other key car brands.
Among the events feature will be ten presentations, an exhibit of several interesting cars and the opportunity for visitors to test virtual prototyping, clay modeling, and have an insight on modern designing tools, ranging from software to prototype building and 3D printing.
The main organizer of the event is AutoDesign&Styling magazine. For more information you can visit www.auto-design-prague.cz or read our report on the past edition held in 2012.
