CCS announces Transportation Design Student Exhibition 2013

The Detroit-based College for Creative Studies (CCS) has announced this year’s Transportation Design student exhibition, which will run from January 13 to January 17.

The exhibition will display works by the BFA and MFA Transportation Design students. The opening ceremony which will take place this Sunday, January 13, will be also attended by GM’s Director of Cadillac Exterior Design Bob Boniface.

As CCS reports, the students’ works have focused on the current need for increasing the vehicles overall efficiency through lightweighting, which challenges designers to come up with new functional and visual solutions that involve the use of advanced materials.

The exhibition hours are 1 – 6 PM (January 14 – January 16) and 8AM – 2PM on Thursday, January 17.

The event will take place at the Valade Family Gallery – A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education – 460 W. Baltimore, Detroit, MI 48202.
