At the upcoming Paris Motor Show SsangYong will present the e-XIV (electric − eXciting user Interface Vehicle), a compact crossover powered by a hybrid powertrain with a range extender.

Ssangyong e-XIV ConceptThe e-XIV can be considered the hybrid version of the XIV-2 Concept presented at this year’s Geneva Show.

The design follows adopts the aesthetic language of the XIV series – first introduced with the XIV-1 Concept in 2011 – and is characterized by the dynamic stance, the wraparound DLO contrasted by the large, trapezoidal C-Pillars, the slightly descending roof line and the sleek LED lighting units.

The flanks feature prominent wheel-arches which at the rear give form to distinctive lower surfaces.

Ssangyong e-XIV Concept The eco-friendly powertrain uses an electric motor coupled with a small internal combustion engine which serves as a range extender.

The B-Segment crossover concept is 4,160mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,575mm high, and has a 2,600mm wheelbase.

The panoramic glass roof provides enhanced visibility and integrates solar cell panels which supply additional energy.

Additional information will be unveiled closer to the official debut.
