Inspired by the summer season, the 500 roadster is a two seater sports version of the iconic Fiat 500, suitable for markets with a warm weather and a seaside.
The car is focused on driving fun and open air experience, and features an exterior that balances rounded shapes and aggressive key lines.
In order to be easily recognizable, the design keeps the main styling cues of the original 500, introducing some special features.
The front end is characterized by two air intakes that provide cooling to the brakes, while the front and rear carbon fiber air diffusers enhance the aerodynamic performances.
The Concept is projected to be equipped with the 1.4 T-Jet Abarth engine.
The goal of the project was to offer a complete experience of the design process to the Politecnico di Milano students of the Automobile Design Master Course, directed by prof. Fausto Brevi.
During their internship at Madeindreams, they learnt how to build a virtual model of a car in team with senior designers and under the supervision of the company’s Training Centre director, Ginevra Gatto.
