The presentation of the open-top NSX is part of a promotional campaign by Acura and Marvel Entertainment, LLC for the much anticipated Marvel’s The Avengers, scheduled for release on May 4.
The convertible sports car was created specifically for the film and features many similarities with the latest NSX Concept. The vehicle will be driven by the character Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man), played by Robert Downey Jr.
Throughout Marvel’s The Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will also drive various Acura vehicles, including the MDX, ZDX and TL models; the completely redesigned 2013 RDX will make a cameo appearance.
