The new model, which will maintain the Santa Fe name, will be based on the brand’s Fluidic Sculpture language, but will also incorporate its own design concept called “Storm Edge,” which “captures the strong and dynamic images created by nature during the formation of a storm.”
The exterior design is characterized by bold and voluminous surfaces and – compared with its predecessor – a more aggressive and classic look .
Among the key elements are the hexagonal grille – a trademark styling cue of the brand – dynamic side character lines, a two-tone voluminous bottom car body and wider front and rear bumpers.
The third generation Santa Fe will make its world debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show in April.
