Concept designer Daniel Simon has created a distinctive livery for the Lotus Le Mans LMP2 racing car, which will compete in the new FIA World Endurance Championship.

This week Lotus has announced that it will support the German Kodewa team’s LMP2 in the new FIA World Endurance Championship.

The team, which ran the HRT Formula One in 2010-11, will have two Lola B12/80 cars powered by Lotus-badged BMW V8s developed by Engine Developments.

The distinctive livery, which takes inspiration from the Black and Gold theme of the past, was created by concept designer Daniel Simon, who also created the livery for the HRT Formula One car in 2011.
