At the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show Volkswagen will unveil the restyled Passat CC four-door coupé. The model, simply named CC, incorporates the new styling elements of the brand’s design DNA.

With the new CC, successor to the Passat CC presented at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show, Volkswagen completes the restyling of its model line-up with the new Design DNA introduced by Walter De Silva.

The four-door coupé, which will be launched globally starting from February 2012, maintains the general lines, proportions and silhouette of the outgoing Passat CC.

The main differences are concentrated in the front end, which showcases the familiar Volkswagen “face”, featuring a new radiator grille with strong horizontal lines, new upfront bi-xenon headlights, a re-profiled hood and a new bumper with silver-colored ‘winglets’ framing the fog lights.

At the rear, the bumper has been redesigned, with more emphasis on horizontal lines and a reworking of the chrome strip.

The tail lights are new as well, and feature a new, simpler contour and LED lights with a linear graphic theme that replace the previous circular elements.

Judging from the images released so far, the interior has remained practically unchanged compared to the Passat CC.
