Peugeot and Citroën have recently revealed their compact SUV models – the C4 Aircross and the 4008 – which are based on the Mitsubishi ASX.
We take this occasion to publish some details and images on the Japanese model, which is also sold as RVR and Outlander Sport.
Its design was developed at Mitsubishi’s design center in Okazaki, and takes inspiration from the Concept Cx, unveiled at Frankfurt in 2007.
The ASX/RVR is based on a platform developed jointly with Daimler and features a total width of 4.34 meters, which positions it in the compact SUV segment.
Among the technical features is an efficient DI-D MIVEC direct-injection diesel engine featuring Automatic Stop & Go and a VG (variable geometry) turbo, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
