Its design was developed at Mitsubishi’s design center in Okazaki, and takes inspiration from the Concept Cx, unveiled at Frankfurt in 2007.

The ASX/RVR is based on a platform developed jointly with Daimler and features a total width of 4.34 meters, which positions it in the compact SUV segment.

Among the technical features is an efficient DI-D MIVEC direct-injection diesel engine featuring Automatic Stop & Go and a VG (variable geometry) turbo, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

When a design lose a dominating concept and let the model looks different in each sketch, this is the normal end result. Here, we can clearly notice that proportions and even the identity of the model is not the same in each sketch, sometimes it’s cross over, sometimes it’s a compact SUV, and sometimes it’s a luxury hatchback. which led at the end to such a model followed finally the previous model dimensions as an easy way to end this confusion.
