Ssangyong XIV-1 Concept preview

Ssangyong has revealed the preview design renderings of its XIV-1 Concept (eXciting User Interface Vehicle), a study of a compact B-segment crossover that will debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Ssangyong XIV-1 Concept SketchThe XIV-1 Concept – previously known as XUV-1 – showcases several SsangYong’s design and engineering solutions and is focused on interaction with the driver and passengers.

The exterior design features a boxy, imposing body volume with rounded surfaces, combined with a number of thin, horizontal elements, such as the side mirrors, the door handles and the panel cutlines that visually extend from the headlight and the tail lights.

Among the other design highlights are the wraparound windscreen, large C-pillars with no B-pillars, rear-hinged rear doors, a transparent panoramic roof and a cabin with a reconfigurable seating layout and an advanced user interface.
