Yet another fooling competition: None of the three selected winners had the aesthetics or the very best circular economy features to be there but French car makers keep fooling designers from allover the world with prizes and then make win whoever they like. None of the three is A CAR, AT ALL by today’s standards and the main feature of the winner: an interchangeable, engine 😮 Hello Renault, are you serious???
Personally I made it to the shortlisted, but was aiming something higher, even though that result was still luck, because it’s just that; these are design lotteries, not competitions.
It’s a shame for such huge international companies to be nationally biased. They promise to spot the very best projects and designers, gave detailed specifications and requirements for the project but then they play with everyone, they play with people’s serious works and careeers. The press has to be more critical and aggressive towards such results in my opinion, because it’s a real shame.
