share on BufferMercedes-Benz moved its North American Advanced Design Studio from Irvine to Carlsbad in 2008. The Californian studio is led by Hubert Lee, and specializes in the development of the exterior design of future models.
Among its creations is the BIOME Concept, a futuristic vehicle grown organically like a tree, presented at the 2010 LA Design Challenge.
