Defined by Alfa Romeo as “Ambassador DNA Technology”, the 4C was first unveiled at the past 2011 Geneva Motor Show and previews a production model set to debut in 2013.
The show car debuting at the upcoming Frankfort show is characterized by a “Fluid Metal” livery, quite different from the matt red body color of the car unveiled in Geneva.
The new paintwork allows to better evaluate the exterior design of the car, made of dynamic lines influenced by the 8C Competizione.
Focused on dynamic performances, the 4C is about 4 meters long and has a wheelbase of less than 2.4 meters.
The car is based on a carbon fiber structure with aluminum crash boxes, which allows for a total weight of just 850 kg.
The powertrain uses the company’s 200 hp 1750 turbocharged gasoline engine with direct injection, coupled with the TCT twin dry clutch transmission.
