SsangYong KEV2 Concept

At the Seoul Motor Show SsangYong has unveiled the KEV2, an all-electric SUV that could provide the basis for a 2013 model.

Derived from the Korando SUV, the KEV2 Concept has an electric powertrain with a 120 kW motor fed by a 35 kWh Lithium-Ion battery that allows for a driving range of up to 180 km and a top speed of 150 km/h.

A full recharge takes 8 hours, while the quick recharging cycle takes just 30 minutes.

The KEV2 could provide the basis for a production model expected in 2013 and its zero-emission platform could be adopted on new B ad D-segment vehicles.
