Scion teases new concept ahead of NY Show

Scion has released a short video that previews a new concept car based on the FT-86 II Concept and expected to debut at the next New York Auto Show.

Accoding to the first unofficial information the new concept car – which could be named “FT-S” – will have the same Subaru-derived 2.0 boxer engine of the FT-86 II, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission and Formula-One – inspired aerodynamic solutions.

The FT-S will also showcase a low weight and compact dimensions – with a length of 4.23 meters, a a width of 1.79 meters and a height of 1.29 meters.

The market launch is expected for mid-late 2012.
