Range Rover Evoque: the design

An official short film that shows the behind the scenes footage of the Evoque design process. We report it along with a new set of images of the 3-door and 5-door models.

The video was released on the occasion of the Car Design of the Year Award at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, where the Evoque has won in the Best Production Car category.

The film gives an insight into the design inspiration for the vehicle, including designers’ viewpoints on how the company plans to create and conquest an entirely new segment.

In the video below, Land Rover’s Design Director Gerry McGovern talks about the design philosophy behind the new Range Rover Evoque.

The film is the first in a series of four, giving an insiders view of the Evoque development story – from initial design, through calibration and development processes to final engineering tests.

The remaining three films will be released online over the coming months.
