Mitsubishi previews its new global car

Mitsubishi has released two design sketches that preview a new global compact model that will debut in 2011. It will have a five-doors hatchback design and will be powered by 1.0 and 1.2 liter engines.


Mitsubishi Global Small CarDesign SketchThe new global small car will be smaller than the Colt, and will be produced at Mitsubishi’s new plant in Thailand.

According to the first unofficial information, the model will have a five-doors hatchback body based on a new platform.

Mitsubishi is planning to build about 200,000 units per year.
