Fiat has announced the winners of its "Design the Italian Way" competition, which saw the participation of eight among the world's leading design schools. The official press release includes extensive comments made by Fiat's designers.

Dutch kitcar maker Burton Car has organized a car design contest offering a €12,000 kitcar as a grand prize. The deadline is 30 June 2007.

DesignerTechniques has announced the winners of its 2nd Design Competition, focused on a futuristic moon vehicle. The first three prizes were awarded to Mark Juhasz, Hrvoje Beslic and Ondrej Jirec.

For the 2008 academic year of its Master in Car Design and Mobility, Italian Domus Academy has organized Desire Design, a competition focused on cars with a strong emotional impact. The prizes are two scholarships and an internship at Stile Bertone.

French magazine 'L'Argus de l'automobile' has announced the 6th edition of its Utility Vehicle European Design competition, open to students of design colleges within the European Union. The theme is about urban goods delivery and the submission deadline is 5th November 2007.

German weblog ChopStars by AutoBild is focused on fake images of tuned vehicles and publishes works made by readers. It has announced a contest that will start at the end of May.

The 2007 edition of the Interior Motives Awards is focused on the 'paradox' theme. The competition is open to design students from all over the world. The submission deadline is 30 April 2007.

BMW, the official sponsor of the event, has released the complete list of the concept cars that will be on display at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. One of the highlights is the Maserati GS Zagato, which will celebrate its world premiere.

Chevrolet has teamed up with the College for Creative Studies (CCS) for a HHR Panel's 'Wrapper' Design Contest. The winning design will be displayed at the New York Auto Show.
