The italian magazine Repubblica has unveiled the first official pictures of the next Jaguar XK.
This 2+2 Coupé will be based on the aluminum structure of the current XJ sedan: a unibody made of more 280 aluminum sheets, 15 cast nodes and 35 extruded members assembled with self-piercing rivets and structural adhesives, with a total weight of 295 Kg.
From these first images the new XK looks very similar to the Advanced Lightweight Coupe Concept unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
It will go on sale in the first months of next year.
