Alaska Motors Competition: the results
Local Motors has announced the results of its Alaska Motors Design Competition, which asked to create a concept for an Alaskan race in 2013. The first three places were won by Anthony Colard, Pierre Gimbergues and Armand Herve.
8th L’argus Design Competition: the winners
'L'argus de l'automobile' magazine has announced the results of its 8th Design Competition, with the theme "Less is more". The first three winners are French design students Aurélie Gagnaire, Nicolas Belly and Julie Grondin / Aurélie Sidot.
Texas Motors Competition
Local Motors has announced the Texas Motors Design Competition, a sketch contest which asks participants to create a dynamic vehicle specifically designed for hunting activities. The submission deadline is 9 February 2010.
Hot Hatch 2020 Design Competition: the winner
The Hot Hatch 2020 Design Competition launched by Autocar and Ford in January 2009 was won by Coventry design student Minwoo Hwang. His concept has been turned into a physical scale model by Ford's model makers at the technical Center in Dunton, Essex.
Style Your Smart Design Contest
Smart has launched an online design competition titled "Style Your Smart". Participants are asked to create a graphic theme for the exterior panels of the ForTwo model, using the downloadable templates. The submission deadline is 23 February 2010.
Allivision09 Competition: the winners
Czech magazine Auto-Design.cz has announced the winners of the Allivision09 Design Competition. The winner is Slovakian Adam Danko, while the second and third places were won by Czech Michal Vlcek and Czech Vít Bechynský.
University of Trieste: Car design Competition 2010
The University of Trieste - Faculty of Architecture has launched the 2010 edition of its car design competition open to design students and graduates worldwide, which asks to create a feasible yet original dream car or city car. The submission deadline is 1 March 2009.

Local Motors has announced its new contest, named Alaska Motors Competition, which is focused on creativity and asks participants to design a conceptual vehicle for a futuristic race in the year 2013. The submission deadline is 30 December 2009.
Nissan V2G wins LA Design Challenge 2009
The Nissan V2G has been announced as the winner of the Los Angeles Auto Show's 2009 Design Challenge. The V2G (Vehicle to Grid) Concept was chosen for its holistic approach in answering the future's design questions raised by the theme "Youthmobile 2030".
Rally Fighter Custom Car Skins Competition: the results
Local Motors has announced the winners of the Custom Car Skins Competition, which asked designers to create a custom vinyl wrap for the Rally Fighter off-roader. The first three places were respectively taken by Derek Salgado, Yan Gstv and Alex Drobokov.
