Retrospective Design Competition

The Retrospective Design Competition asks participants to imagine a Local Motors’ car that would fit in the 1927-1932 time period, maintaining the company’s core values. The submission deadline is 8 August 2010.

Local Motors is hosting a rétro car design competition called “Retrospective 1927-1932”: it asks the community to imagine what Local Motors’ cars would look like from that time period.

The competition – which is “meant to help designers develop conceptual car design skills” – ends on next 10 August.

The first three prizes are respectively a Wacom Cintiq 12wx 12″ Pen display, a Wacom Intuos 4 Large tablet and a Wacom Intuos Smal tablet.

All winners will also receive a copy of “Advertising the Model A Ford”, a compilation of over 900 Ford Model A advertisments.
