Jaguar XKR with Speed and Black Pack
For the 2011 XKR model Jaguar has introduced two customization options: the Speed Pack, which increases the maximum speed up to 280 km/h, and the Black Pack, which enhances the visual impact thanks to 20" wheels and matte black exterior details and trims.
The latest generation of the Jaguar XKR sports coupe now offers a new Special Edition model and two optional performance and styling packs: the Black Pack for added visual impact and the Speed Pack for an increased maximum speed.
The XKR Special Edition combines both packs.
The 2011 Model Year XKR features the AJ-V8 Gen III R direct-injection supercharged 5.0-litre engine, which delivers 510PS (510bhp SAE), 625Nm of torque and propels the XKR coupe to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds.
With the optional Speed Pack, the maximum speed of the XKR is raised from 155mph (250km/h) to an electronically limited 174mph (280km/h) thanks to recalibration of the engine management system.
The new optional Black Pack adds gloss black 20-inch Kalimnos alloy wheels, gloss black finish to the front air grilles and side Power Vents, red brake callipers, a body-coloured aerodynamic pack (including a front chin spoiler and larger rear spoiler) and an optional ‘XKR’ body side graphic along the lower sills.
Among the technical highlights are the six-speed automatic transmission and the advanced Active Differential Control and Adaptive Dynamics suspension system.
Compared to the previous model, the XKR retains its advanced aluminium body architecture and features Improved CO2 emissions performance (Euro Stage V compliant) and fuel economy comparable to the previous 4.2-litre XKR engine.
The new XKR Special Edition with Speed and Black Packs is unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
