Core77 industrial design website has launched new a One Hour Design Competition. Participants are asked to create the most number of ideation sketches on a particular free choice theme in just 60 minutes. The submission deadline is 30 August 2009.

The sketches must be on 8.5"x11" boards (paper or digital) and - once scanned - can be submitted to the 1HDC submissions forum. Winners will be selected by Core77 Admin based on both quantity and quality of the sketches. Judging will be based on sketching and design excellence, focusing on form variation, sketch quality, and composition.

The first three winning designs will be featured in the Core77 Newsletter, on the Core77 Blog.

The past editions of these 1-Hour Design Challenges have included a Car Rendering Competition, won by Sven Sellik (see below video).
