The eMX Concept was unveiled by Renault Samsung Motors - a Renualt subsidiary - at the 2009 Seoul Motor Show together with the SM3 sedan replacement model.
The eMX - ("eco Motoring eXperience") is based on the Renault Mégane platform and is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with a number of solutions aimed at improving the fuel efficiency .
The main dimensions are a length of 4,040 mm, a width of 1,818 mm, a height of 1,468 mm and a wheelbase of 2,535 mm.
The design features soft curves with details and graphics which take inspiration by nature and are aimed at expressing a sense of eco-friendliness and cutting-edge technology.

The interior features four single bucket seats and- like the exterior - is characterized by an organic design. Among the features are the transparent roof and the soft athmosphere created by the interior mood lighting.

Started in 2003 as the Korean arm of Renault’s design network, the RSM Design Center employs 45 people and is the second largest in the Renault Design network.
The center is located in Kiheung (50 km from Seoul) and is involved in the development of the model line-up targeted to local markets as well as in monitoring the Asian design trends and bringing them into the Renault Group.
