Greenwheels - Scooter Design in collaboration with Piaggio (2007)
The department of “automobile body architecture” of IAAD Turin, first in Italy, was founded in Turin in 1978.
Today the programmatic fulcrum develops around car and motor scooter design, according to an "Italian way" of doing and conceiving style that is famous worldwide.
The aim is that of putting together the world of Industry and that of research and experimentation through the study of projects developed with the support of the industry itself.
The master proposes to give the instruments to develop a correct relationship between mobility and territory, considering the stylistic aspect fundamental.
In that sense the project correspondence in respect to the scenario results determining for the creation of a complete and aware professional figure.
In order to develop a project it is important to know how to handle the theoretic aspects, potential and expression means addressing them to the creation of innovative concepts.
"We will go well beyond the concept of “I see and copy” but rather “I see and reinvent”, where other than examine the surrounding environment, the presupposition to knowledge, autonomy and individuality development will be created as fundamental aspects of creativity. The project process begins by a wide research; it moves through the exploration of the possible scenarios and arrives to the content synthesis through the realization of sketching, virtual and real scale representations. The programme faces concept, style, and technological and ergonomic aspects, with the purpose of proposing advanced project principles coherent with the needs of the production market."
