Based on the Hyundai HED-5 Concept presented in 2008, the HED-6 is defined as an "urban nomad", inspired by the culture of European capitals such as London, Paris and Berlin.

It was designed at the company's European Design headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany.

Styling features include the hexagonal front grille, an aggressive look with sharp surfaces, 21-inches wheels and a rear window made in Lexan. The powertain adopts a 1.6 liter diesel unit coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission.
